Cardiovascular Disease Revisited 2024

As a result of popular demand (someone asked), I want to update you on the status of cardiovascular disease in the western world.

The World Health Organization recently published an article which stated that 85% of the world's cardiovascular disease is preventable by lifestyle, exercise, nutrition and supplementation (LENS).

This is a profound statement and one that interests me and has interested me over the last 15 years. It has been pretty obvious for some time that the sometimes-toxic mix of genetic predisposition and chaos which we call life, interact to produce fallout. Amongst many of the fallout illnesses we experience, the most common and the most often fatal is cardiovascular disease in the form of stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest, heart failure, aneurysms, kidney failure, Alzheimer's type diseases and diabetes type 2.

Buried in the Pharma driven (who has not some shares in Pharma), academic captured world where we have seen some wonderful advances and advice, we have also seen some 180° turns and on reflection some pretty banal advice.

So, here is the juice, cardiovascular disease in the majority is due to arterial lining inflammation, primarily in the Glycocalyx which is a membrane of molecules that protect the artery linings. The inflammatory changes in this area attract oxidized cholesterols causing a further inflammatory reaction that the body deals with by calcifying, locking down and closing down the inflammatory response.

Dissecting this in the following way allows us to understand the disorder better.

Your genetics variably predetermined the degree of inflammation that you will produce in response to an injury. That injury is caused by chemicals they have not been detoxified before being carried around in the bloodstream.

This goes on for some time, decades even, unnoticed until BANG!!

You can get tested by a smart Blood Pressure machine called BP+ that finds this process long before the BANG. www.healthscreeningnz.com can do the test at a local pharmacy. Down load the CardiAction app from the App store and get sorted.

 And that's it folks.
